Vintage SILVERTONE SEMI-HOLLOWBODY by TEISCO
This is a probably a mid-to-late 60's Silvertone made by Teisco of Japan. This is a knock-off of the Gibson ES335. It has a fully functional whammy bar and has that great Teisco-twanger sound. It's action is average. This guitar is incredibly clean.
This particular specimen is in unbelievable shape. I have thoroughly checked every piece of hardware and it all appears to be original. I have other guitars from the 60s and I wish they were in as good a shape. The metal parts don't show the same signs of oxidation as some of my guitars that are only 10 years old. No buckle rash. There is a small abrasion on the headstock by the Silvertone insignia and a small knick on the back side (very tip) of one side of the headstock (see pictures). There is also a bit of insignificant seperation of the top close to the pickguard (appears as a dark line between the pinstriping and wood finish).
