This is a very nice, original Silvertone 2 pickup Amp in Case model 1457. It is in excellent, much better than average condition. The 1457 has a 5 watt tube amplifier and a 8 inch Jenson speaker. The guitar was made by Danelectro and has 2 lipstick pickups, an outstanding neck and really sounds good. The electronics all work perfectly and are untouched. I put new strings on it and cleaned it up but nothing else.The headstock has a slight mark where a guitar cable lay on it for a long time. There are a few very small nicks and scrapes in the finish but no dings. The white vinyl edge is in very good condition. The knobs have some discoloration from age. The amplifier works great and includes the original tremelo
footswitch. The footswitch cord and power cord are still soft and
flexible with no cracking. The red felt inside is not faded and is still very fuzzy feeling. The case is structurally sound and rigid. One of the hinges has been moved about an inch outboard from its original location due to stripped screw holes. One latch has the tab broken off but works fine. As you can see in the pictures, the tolex is outstanding, as is the speaker grill and chrome. The latches, hinges and handle escutcheons do have some rust but are structurally sound. The amplifier itself looks practically new, as does the speaker. This is by far the cleanest example I have run across. Look at our feedback and you will see that you can bid with absolute confidence.
