Silvertone Guitar

NO RESERVE!! Up for bid is a early/mid 60's  Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve 60 watt Tube Amp. These amps have been used in recent years by Jack White and Dave Grohl among others.
It has (2) 12" speakers that are original and in working order. With the exception of 1 power tube, all the tubes appear to be original Silvertone tubes. The amp was stored and not turned on for many years until I acquired it recently. I have put several hours of play time on it. It has a creamy blues overdrive that you can't emulate. Drive this thing with a nice overdrive pedal and you are cooking with gas! The reverb and tremelo work on channel 2 which from what I have read is correct. The tremelo is totally to die for, the reverb is just ok to be honest. It's good on conservative settings in my opinion.

This baby needs a re-tubing and a check up from an amp doctor. Don't get me wrong, it powers up and sounds amazing, I just think it would be a good idea and I am sure the tubes are worn out and it would add some volume and clarity. All knobs are intact and working. Everything works.  I seriously doubt anyone has ever done anything to it. It's all here and is in good cosmetic shape for a near 50 year old amp. I love the way the head packs into the cab for portability. I guarantee this amp not to be DOA and I will insure it for final value. I will ship via UPS insured ground unless you request otherwise.
