Silvertone Guitar

Up for auction is a 1961 Sears Silvertone guitar with amp built into the guitar case! The model # is #1448. This guitar is in good condition with the normal scratches and wear for it`s age.It is black with white sparkle paint,it has 18 frets,1 pick up,with a individual volume and tone.The amplifier-case is in o.k. cosmetic condition for it`s age,(there are worn places in the corners,but the speaker tolex isn`t torn).It has a 6" speaker,#3 tubes, #1-12AU6,#2-50C5,#3-35W4.The amplifier does work but will need some minor work,(volume control needs contact cleaner to stop the little bit of crackling when it is being adjusted), and I am sure these are the original tubes and at some point they may need replacing,but the amp DOES WORK FINE.

This is a GREAT find for the collector or a good find for the player looking for that "vintage" sound! I have researched these and they are priced anywhere from a low of $315 to a high of $900 and up!
