1960 Silvertone Jupiter Model 1423 Stratotone
This is a vintage 1960 Silvertone Jupiter/Stratotone (model 1423) guitar. Guitar is in good overall shape showing signs of honest use consistent for a piece this age. There are numerous small nicks, dings and scuffs as well as a few small spot where the finish is worn through. Guitar is all original except the tuners which are real period correct Kluson single line strip style. It did have other tuners on it previously so if you remove the tuners you will see extra screw holes. They are nicely hidden by the strip tuners but they are there and I wanted to mention it. Guitar is also missing one of the small control knobs as seen in photos.
The neck of the gutiar is nice and straight and frets are in good shape also showing only moderate signs of use while still retaining a nice playable profile. Guitar has the Rowe Industries foil pickups that sound really nice. They have a nice midrangy growl to them.
Overall the guitar is a nice player thats really lighweight and good sounding. Does not have a case but I will double box for safe shipping.
