This is a circa something Silvertone archtop guitar which I believe was made by Harmony. This looks identical to other Harmony archtops of this ilk I have owned. This is by far the best example of the batch of these I bought on Ebay last year. I had it setup as best it could but the action is still a bit high on the upper frets (frankly you'll most likely find that on ALL of these and some much worse or even unplayable which I found numerous sellers are fousting off on unsuspecting buyers under the guise of "gee, I don't know anything about guitars but it sure plays nice" kind of thing. This one actually looks very good although it has the usual marks and scuffs but the pictures are pretty accurate. As I said it's the best of the bunch I bought. It's a good picking guitar especially at the open strings and plays pretty well as a melody/chord type jazz box, but keep in mind these were somewhat entry level at the time although this has some nicer fingerboard inlays and finish. Neck is thicker Gibson style rounded type similar to an L48.  I'd say buy it as a nice example of this era and brand that you can actually get some sound out of. As I said, I had my guitar guy work on the bridge to get it better and put new strings on not that long ago. I'll tell you, this sounds and plays about as good as my Gibson L48 that I owned. They are punchy sounding, so don't expect some deep resonant amazing tone, but you could try to amplify this and might find it enhances the experience quite a bit. I'm not a dealer and I'm selling this as is, but there are not cracks and the body isn't sunk in so that it's unplayable like so much of what's being auctioned out there for less. It's pretty to look at without a doubt and plays in my opinion decently. I own some much more expensive guitars so please take that into account. I'd never say this sounds "great" or anything near, but it is decent (in my opinion).
I just stepped away for a minute to play it and intonation is very good at the 12th fret. Very little fret wear. There's a bit of lacquer checking but looks to be the original finish which is quite nice. Again, melody chord playing or picking is best with this but I'd say subjectively anyway that it's not so interesting as a strummer.
Keep in mind there are various light surface scratches and a thin repaired crack on the back toward the outside edge at the waist. At the very top of the back there are a couple of visual scratches that are smooth to the touch so may be buffable. Overall nice looking but as I said has the usual dings and scratches. The finish is fairly lustrous and intact.
Only PayPal; Only lower 48; only 20 bid history all positive please
No returns; I'm not a dealer; I've tried to describe this accurately and even threw in some subjective negatives, but you are buying this unseen so to speak and therefore you should only bid taking that in consideration. If you bid win, you agree that your subjectivity and mine may differ in some ways but that there is still no return. Sorry for you normal people but I've found it necessary to discourage buyers with potential "reality" issues. Thanks for understanding!

It's definitely a Silvertone as you an see, but I'm not sure if it's made by Harmony. Please do your research and ask any questions. Item is sold as is and is not represented to be perfect or without marks or scratches.
