SILVERTONE-THIN TWIN Model: 1382L 1956 This is a Silvertone 1382L (Thin Twin: Jimmy Reed model), sunburst, semi-hollow body, electric guitar made by Kay of Chicago, IL between 1955 and 1956. It's nickname comes from the two very thin pickups. Aside from some cosmetic differences it's identical to the Kay guitar Jimmy played. The guitar is 100% original and in excellent condition. It shows very minor wear and dings from the last 50 years of use but overall it's incredibly clean. There is one minor scrap on the upper side of the body towards neck pickup. It has a beautiful flamed, curly maple body with mahogany sides. The pickups give a great blues-jazz range.
