This is an extremely rare Silvertone 1485 head. 10 tube, 100 watt tone monster. Very, very loud. Huge transformers put out the tone that has made Jack White of the White Stripes famous.
Amp has two 4ohm speaker outputs, both of which must be utilized at once. I recently had this looked over by a reputable tech, and a few caps were replaced (they had a one year warranty, and lasted almost fifty years!). Tremolo and reverb are not currently functioning. Amp is in great working condition and sounds huge. Amp has two 1/4" speaker outs and a 3 prong power cable (added for safety.)
Cosmetically there are some scruffs in the covering, and the covering is coming up in places, mostly on the two bottom corners. The main cosmetic issue is in the lower two corners, where the fiberboard is damaged (final 5 pictures). The damage to the fiberboard in those areas, a combination of flaking, chipping, sinking in, and cracks, appears to be cosmetic and not structural; these issues are on/near the surface, and are not all the way through. The joints on both bottom sides have been reinforced as a precaution to make this amp gig-ready. One of the nails to reinforce the joints went in a little crooked, causing the fiberboard to push up a bit in that spot. One of the screws holding one of the transformers down is missing. Silvertone added a nice space-age touch by putting what looks like tin foil on the inner top of the amp, above the chassis. A corner of this tin foil is ripped and the rest is a little dirty.
Amp sounds great and would make a stellar addition to any studio. These amps take pedals really well, and have been skyrocketing in price recently. These are really great roots-rock and hard rock amps, with growling overdrive when pushed, and plenty of stage volume. Because cosmetically this amp is less than perfect, I have priced to well below where recent examples have sold ($850-$1000+).
