Description
The is a Silvertone 1434 Medalist Guitar amp made by Danelectro for Sears. 1959 top of the line silvertone amp. Appears to be All original except for 1 philco tube! This amp is ready for your refurb ( AS MOST WOULD DO)
This so nice and such a great find . It powered right up and played on both channels. I did not test tremelo as no pedal. Selling "as is" Please check out pics carefully as they are to be considered part of the description. corner show some wear as expected. PICS SHOW THE UNIT POWERED ON.
FROM SILVERTONE WORLD:
Everything Danelectro had, they put into this last amp of the 50s. Music was changing; rock and roll had exploded, and was about to take over the airwaves and imagination as the dominant influential music. Silvertone amps were about to change, too. Reverb was on the way on certain models. Here come the sixties!
The 1434 was so top of the line they even gave it a name! Just like the 'two-twelve' that they named the 1396, the 1434 was dubbed 'Medalist.' Two big twelves with 50 watts pumpin' into them. Space age looks notwithstanding, Dano-built Silvertones had changed very little this decade. Sound-wise, things were about to get very interesting. Design-wise, this classic era of amp design was over.

Fall/Winter 1959 at $139.95
