Old Silvertone Model 1434 Medalist Twin 12" Amplifier. The cabinet has had a hard life but the electronics look good. I do not know the exact age. I have not plugged it in as I do not have a variac and I do not want to blow anything up. It came from an estate sale and was sitting in the basement - I have no idea of its history other that it has not been used in some time. From the web:
The 1434 was so top of the line they even gave it a name! Just like the 'two-twelve' that they named the 1396, the 1434 was dubbed 'Medalist.' Two big twelves with 50 watts pumpin' into them. Space age looks notwithstanding, Dano-built Silvertones had changed very little this decade. Sound-wise, things were about to get very interesting. Design-wise, this classic era of amp design was over.
