You may want to switch to a heavier gauge.
These guitars sound great as well with flat wound strings.
This is a wild looking and sounding guitar that holds it's own.
Both the Master Volume and Tone Controls are rotary wheels, and there's individual On/Off switches for
each pickup plus a Rhythm/Solo switch for each pair.

The original tremolo arm is present, however, I don't have the screw to hold it in place.
You can most likely find a screw in a hardware or a music store, or maybe right here at eBay.
Speaking of the tremolo unit, this is a direct clone of the famous and great Hagstrom guitar unit.

Cool triple-pick guards setup, including dual Chrome pick guards
which were also a feature of early Guyatone guitars.
The two Silvertone pickups have a wonderful twangy or deep bass tone and sound great.

Please look at the enlarged photos for clearer visual details

There are some reflections caught by the camera. These are not marks or scratches. Just reflections.
The fully bound neck is straight and fast with good action rosewood frets that show almost no wear.
Action is low with no buzzing. It can be adjusted at the bridge to higher or lower action.
The neck is super smooth and comfortable and - very fast.
There is no case, but the guitar will be double boxed for maximum protection.

Truss Rod works just fine and the tuners function very well.
Three of the tuners are slightly bent. They pose no problem as far as stringing the guitar, tuning it, and they stay in tune.
The Sunburst finish has aged nicely and there's no structural cracks, damage or repairs on the guitar.
This guitar has tons of Mojo with No Issues what so ever!

Actual playing wear is extremely light to none.
Some tiny light scratches are to be found, but for its 48 years of age it's quite minor and hardly visible.

Weighs 9 lbs. 41 1/2" long.
A vintage early 60's Silvertone Twin Twelve. Runs on 2 6l6's. In perfect working order. Been retubed and recapped. Tremolo and Reverb WORK!!! And it does include the original footswitch. An added bonus is that is has two vintage Pyle Driver speakers in it!! An absolutely awesome amp!!! A 1/4 jack has been installed in the cabinet and head for pro use, as well as an updated ac cord. There is a little wear on the cabinet on the bottom side, but nothing structurally wrong at all, just cosmetic.

Vintage Silvertone Twin Twelve With Pyle Driver Speakers (jack White) is a post from: Silvertone Guitar

This
6V6 amp is in cherry shape for its age as shown by the pictures. It is the sweetest
sounding amp I've ever heard and anyone I've known who has heard this amp
readily agrees with me. It appears to have ready volume to fill a regular size
room. It is a unique looking amp with the control panel mounted on the right
side vertically with a tremolo and speed control easily accessible. The grill
is in excellent shape and silver/white cloth has no holes or discoloration. The
front panel does have a fair amount of scuffing and some minor scratches. It is
a 1x12 combo with a Jensen Professional Series Syntox 6 12 inch speaker in
excellent shape. All the controls are fully responsive and do not appear to
produce any unwanted noise or hiss. The tolex is in excellent shape as well as
the lettering. She is ready to plug and play. Guaranteed for a full refund on
return if not as described, and I must be notified within 3 days of receipt. No
partial refunds. Any tampering or mods voids this warranty. I can ship by USPS,
UPS, or FedEx, and I will use the calculator for the most appropriate shipping.
I can provide other carrier costs if requested.
All items are well packed, but heavy items can be subject to treatment
that defies the best of packaging. For this reason, the buyer must be willing
to cooperate in filing a claim for damage.

Silvertone 1352 from the late 1950's here. This guitar plays great for it's age. It has the wear to show that it is a player, but pristine ones go for more than $2000. It had a second (bridge) pickup added a long time ago. This is a players guitar that any vintage guitar lover will be proud to play for years to come. There are plenty of dings, a small indent in the side, good scrape on the top, and a good amount of finish checking. Rosewood bridge is stable. Nut appears to be an upgraded bone nut. I'm attaching a video of this being played below, so you can hear the great tones coming out of it. Please ask any questions before you buy. I'm selling it as is, though it is fully functional. If you choose "Buy it now" I will send it in an upgraded case, for lower bids I have a spare acoustic case that will protect it.
I will ship internationally, please contact me for pricing before you bid. To Europe and Asia, it is usually around $200.

This is a true "Rare Find" for the Teisco Collector. I have spent time researching this model and I believe this was the Japanese version. I have NEVER seen another one listed on eBay, and don't think I ever will. This was the 3rd most expensive guitar that Teisco made in its day, several thousand Yen more than the Spectrum 5 and even the May Queen.
Here is some information that I have come across in a great article;
http://www.vintageguitar.com/features/brands/details.asp?AID=1077

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this guitar. I would give it an 8 out of 10. An 8 only because I am realistic, and it is over 40 yrs old. It has a few dings and scratches, but very few. The one on the back of the neck is the biggest you'll find, and that's not big. The strings have dug into the top of the headstock just a bit north of the nut. As you can see from the pictures the finish is still beautiful with no cracking at all. There is a small scratch that you can see on the back in one of the picturers. Electronics all work, but could use a good cleaning. Only thing missing is the Vegas 40 Logo on the Headstock, but as you can see, it is on the pick-guard just like the Article mentions. I am kicking myself for selling it, but need the cash. I have tried to discribe this guitar to the best of my abilities, and have taken close-up pictures of any area I thought needed attention. I have also post a video of the actual guitar. Please ask any and all questions.

Here is some information that I have come across in a great article;
http://www.vintageguitar.com/features/brands/details.asp?AID=1077
