Ca. 1955-1956 HARMONY-made SILVERTONE archtop guitar in TWO-TONE GREEN L@@K!

Description

You are bidding one of the rarest Harmony-made guitars I've ever seen: a two-tone green on green acoustic archtop Silvertone from '55 or '56.  Neck set is tight, and action is average for an acoustic Harmony of this vintage, and fret wear is minimal.  Paint is excellent on this guitar, with very little rash on the back and a few spicks and specks missing.  All original tuners to tailpiece, but missing it's endpin.  Dot inlays, rosewood bridge. Silvertone graphic is nice, with thinner "bottle" headstock Harmony is using in the mid-50's.  Binding is painted on, and there is some seam separation, moreso on the top of the guitar than the bottom, but there are no visible cracks, and action is very playable.  I've easily owned this for 12 years, and have not seen another.  (There is a black and red version of this, sold thru the Aldens mail-order catalog which I've seen a few of, but never this guitar.)  A killer Harmony collectors piece.  No date stamp inside.

I'm going to be living a more humble life, and have no place to display this guitar anymore, so I'd rather it be passed on then sit in a case in a closet.  If you like this guitar, make me a reasonable offer!   This guitar is priced to sell and is a rare opportunity to own something original and unique, and 55 years old.  Harmony was experimenting with two-tone paint jobs on '55-'57 guitars in reaction to the paint jobs coming out of Detroit at the time.  Aqua green on Teal?  That looks like the interior of a Bel Air!

Dimensions:  41" long,  3 1/4" thick at edge, 11 1/2" upper bout,  15 1/2" lower bout

USA ONLY!!!  ALL ORIGINAL with NON-ORIGINAL HARD CASE  $45 ship lower 48 states.  MAIL IS MOVING SLOWER AS WE GET TOWARDS XMAS, SO EXPECT SOME DELAYS BY MAIL AND PACKAGE CARRIERS.

HARMONY-made SILVERTONE GUITAR is a OLD, WONDERFUL and AS-IS FOLKS. Ask questions.  If I missed something, you'll have to forgive me because NO RETURNS!
