This is an original brown Silvertone U1 guitar manufactured by Danelectro in the late 50's/early 60's. It has had regular tune-ups by a local Danelectro-certified guitar shop and has new strings on it.It is a semi-hollow masonite body guitar making it very light and have a warm tone.Has one lipstick humbucker pick-up in the "sweet spot."Very simple guitar with so much to offer!Everything is original besides the volume/tone knobs and the only flaw is the plate on the back doesn't have the screw so it is held on with duct tape (i didn't bother to ever find a screw for it because it didn't affect the playability at all so it didn't bother me.) Guitar has normal wear (paint) as you can see from the pictures but if that doesn't bother you, you will be getting a great guitar for a lot less than what everyone else is trying to sell them for.
This guitar has amazing tone and action. It plays flawlessly and is a piece of history. Don't cheat yourself by buying a reissue model, buy the REAL THING!
