Silvertone Guitar

This is a 1965 Silvertone Hornet Made by Danelectro. The guitar is all stock except for the three way switch, which has just been changed, but it comes with the original Carling switch that was removed. Four of the pickguard screws have also been replaced at some point with fender strat pickguard screws. Otherwise, this is an unmolested survivor. The frets show almost zero wear. The original electronics all work great and do not make noise. The guitar has just been set up by our full time Luthier and plays and sounds great. He did make a custom shim to go in the neck pocket to tighten up the fit (see pic), it is not permanent and can be removed to keep the guitar more original, but it really helps with the stability of the neck and sustain. The guitar has some bumps and dings, but has a very nice shine to the finish for being 46 years old. It does not come with a case, but I am a very particular with my packing and I will make sure it gets boxed up professionally. This is a super cool vintage Dano, at a very fair starting bid.
