Silvertone Guitar

This is an extrordinary looking 1960 Harmony H59 3 pickup Rocket. The bridge and neck pickups have been exchanged for a pair of Late Harmony Meteor Deluxe Mustache pickups and the middle golden tone has been adapted to a later Rocket pickup ring that has been painted black to match the Meteor Rings. Additionally the Gold Foils have been replaced with red foil to match the deep cherry red spruce top. The top appears to be the original finish but the back and sides have been refinished in Black Nitro finish like a Chris Issak 1446 or Roy Smeck Stratotone. The nickel Harmony tailpiece adds more character to the appearance as do the vintage tuners with black butter bean buttons. Everything on this guitar is vintage except the 4way rotary switch has been replaced with a 6 way to get more variations and the black pickguard is custom to fit the uncommon pickups. The body has been carefully check and there are no repairs or damage under the finish, even around the input jack. The neck is also without repair and is straight. The frets are very good and the fingerboard has very little wear. The action is low and it plays like a dream, very warm with loads of tone. Does not have a case but will be packed carefully and shipped fully insured.
